Life & Work with Jude Wallace (Voyage Phoenix)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jude Wallace.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Jude, and I am a rockstar based out of Phoenix, AZ. Music has always been my greatest passion, and I started my adventure into it very young. I wrote my first song at 6 and released my first album, “Moon and Tide,” on 12/31/23. Music has always been a form of therapy and healing for me. Those many years of songwriting is the closest thing I have to a diary. I have songs on this album that I wrote over 10 years ago and songs I wrote recently. All of the songs on this album are a piece of me and part of the journey to how I got to where I am.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth- however, I think the bumps in the road is why my music feels relatable. It is very hard for me to write happy music. Because music is like my therapy, it comes most naturally when I’m emotional. Most everyone can relate to feeling emotional. So, when I’ve been confronted with struggles- foster care, grief, heartbreak, feeling lost- I’ve tried to channel those struggles into my art. And my art has saved me from letting those struggles consume me.
